It represents the largest cybersecurity engineering project in history, with an investment equivalent to 34,000 engineers working full-time for 11 months, focusing on mitigating risks and improving security for both Microsoft and its customers.

Microsoft has implemented several initiatives to promote a security-first culture, including the introduction of a Security Core Priority for every employee, which is discussed during performance check-ins. Additionally, over 50,000 employees have participated in the Microsoft Security Academy, and more than 99% have completed the Security Foundations and Trust Code courses, significantly increasing awareness of cybersecurity best practices.

Microsoft has made notable progress in its cybersecurity measures, including the implementation of phishing-resistant multi-factor authentication (MFA) for 92% of employee productivity accounts.
